Apple Pie


Green Apples (or a mix of kinds) 9
Cinnamon 2 teaspoons
Nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon
Sugar 1 tbsp.
Lemon Juice 1/2 lemon squeezed

To make a classic apple pie, begin with the pie crust.
*** Do this the day before, keeping in refrigerator overnight ***

The next morning, peel the apples.

Cut apples into slices, place in large mixing bowl.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Add cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, and lemon juice to sliced apples. Mix until evenly covered.

Roll out the bottom pie crust. Place in pie pan. Lightly push down around edges.

Pour sliced apples into pie pan.

Roll out top crust. Place over top of pan.

Seal edges. If not latticed, cut a few slits on the top of crust for steam.

Bake for about 45-50 minutes.

Let cool for at least 2 hours before enjoying.
