Butter | 1 stick | |
Brown Sugar | 1/4 cup | |
White Sugar | 1/4 cup | |
Eggs | 2 | |
Vanilla Extract | 1/2 teaspoon
Bananas | 3, ripe & mashed
Flour | 1 1/4 cups | |
Baking Soda | 1 teaspoon | |
Salt | 1/2 teaspoon | |
Unsweetened Cocoa Powder | 1 teaspoon
Cinnamin | 1/2 teaspoon | |
Walnut Pieces | 1/2 cup |
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cream room temperature butter with the sugar.
Take the butter wrapper and smear any remaining butter on all sides of the baking pan. I’m using a 1.5 QT glass bread pan.
Combine eggs and vanilla, then pour into mixture.
Then add in the mashed bananas.
Mix together flour, baking soda, salt, cocoa, cinnamon in a separate bowl. Place crushed walnuts in with the dry ingredients.
Then pour dry ingredients (in batches) into mixture, mixing until just combined, try not to over mix!
Pour batter into baking pan, bake for about 55 minutes. Everyone’s oven is different, so be sure to check on it before time is up. You should be able to put a knife through it without batter sticking to it.
Take out of baking dish to cool.
