flour | 2 cups, sifted | |
baking powder | 2 tsp | |
salt | 1/2 tsp | |
oil, bacon fat, or melted butter | 6 T | |
grated cheese | to taste | |
chopped ham, bacon, nuts, or jam | optional |
Mix all the batter ingredients (first 7 ingredients) together and beat until smooth. This is a thin batter. Add stuffing ingredients of your choice. Pour into a cake or brownie pan (7×11″ works well) and bake at 350-375F for 30-40 minutes, until an inserted knife comes out clean.
